We are down to our last 3 days. I guess you could call us "trunky" We haven't been worth a lot for the month of July. Our partner missionaries, the Colby's, have taken over and managed the camp well. We have been tying up loose ends prior to last week. I finished my Washington Mission memorial quilt top. Trying to pack while still living in a trailer. Larry has been cleaning the outside and waxing. The trailer had lots of mold, mildew and fir tree stuff stuck to it. Larry took the platform steps out and I have tried to fall out the door several times. My brain is a little slow I guess.
Yes, we have played most of the last week. Jodie & I went to a free Daughtry concert, Larry & I went to see Harry Potter, watched George & Jake compete in a triathalon, then a 2 day trip to Forks, Wa. We went back to the camp for 2 more days, I needed to write my talk for church and Larry helping Elder Colby with a couple of last minute things. We came back to Jodie's for her birthday, Larry & George are having one last bike ride together today. The Seattle 50. We are having a Pioneer Day party at the park today with the Vasho Branch. MOnday we have our interview with the Mission President, then back to close up and hook up to leave early Tuesday morning.
We have had quite the adventure the last 18 months. Many highs and lows, more work than we ever imagined. Lots of bad weather, but the last couple of months have been warmer and dry. Not quite Texas 100's, but dry. We have met lots of people and gained a few friendships that will last a lifetime. We have more than enjoyed our time with Jodie, George, Jenna and Jake. They have helped us through the bad times, without them here I don't know if we could have made it the whole time. We will miss seeing them weekly.
Although we can't wait to get home.
