We got home 2 weeks ago today. The Drive home was pretty uneventful. We did have a slight bump in the road. We wer in Rupert Id the first night. It was late when we got in and Larry had no idea how to find family in the area. We wanted to be home in time for Oscar's baptism, so we didn't think we had time for a visit anyway. Well that's not how it was supposed to be. We woke up with a flat tire on the trailer. It was a bad valve stem (we had those checked before we left). So we had them all replaced and were on our way again. We got about 15-20 miles from Rupert and we hear/felt a noise in the truck. Anyway back to Rupert. We had a front wheel bearing go out on the truck. While waiting for the repair, the attendant helped me find Aunt Lois's phone number. WE called and were able to meet together for lunch and a short trip to Larry's cousin Connie. We were back on the road by 4:30pm. Again we drove late and made it into Rock Springs, Wy. We made it home by 2:30 pm on Friday. Our trip was safe, but loooong.
Kelly & Sally and Grandkids we waiting in the front of the house when we drove up. What a nice surprise for us. Little did the grandkids know, that they would help us unload the trailer. 1.5 hours later the trailer was empty and the house full.
We have been busy getting the house in order and eating Texas food and spending time with our family here.
Our kids here have worked hard to keep our house and person business in order. Everyone admits the yard wasn't kept like dad would have, but who would have. But it hasn't taken that much trim it it out. We are greatful for what they did, it made it easier for us to be away.
As for our Mission. It was an adventure, many highs and lows. Our children's support helped us through those times.
We are glad to be home, we are enjoying the heat 90's-106. We loved it when we could see forever and knew we were back in Texas.
This is my last entry into the Warrzonemission blog. I will start posting on a new blog Adventures in the Warrzone
